While attacking Mamata Banerjee, Ravi Shankar Prasad said “to save her political reputation, a woman CM is risking the honour of women, and she will have to pay for it.” He further said, “Sandeskhali issue is serious...What is emerging about the blatant assault, humiliating treatment and sexual assault of women is a shame on our society and democracy. Mamata Banerjee is still defending it. Why?...One journalist was also arrested. What does Mamata Banerjee want to hide, and why? To save her political reputation, a woman CM is risking the honour of women. Why? Where has her conscience died?...Why are the parties silent? I heard that a woman leader of the CPI(M) visited the area but the CPI(M) has not opposed it (the incident), it has not made a public comment. Rahul Gandhi is silent.”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on February 16 addressed youths in Bihar’s Mohania and hit out at the BJP-led Central government saying that this government wants them to become contractual labourers. Rahul Gandhi has drawn a parallel between ‘Agniveer’ scheme to contractual labourers. He said, “They (Centre) don’t want to use India’s Defence Budget for the training and security of jawans...You will neither be recruited in the Army nor Railways or any Public Sector Unit. Why? The Government wants you to become contractual labourers. They have given the name 'Agniveer' but he is a contractual labourer. That is the truth. They can sack him, throw him out anytime they want, without asking him, without pension or any help.”

Congress Wants To Keep Judiciary In Its Pocket, Alleges Ravi Shankar Prasad

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Ravi Shankar Prasad on March 23 hit out at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and Congress and said they want to keep the judiciary in their pocket. It was after several Congress leaders questioned the judgement of the Surat Court in the defamation case against Rahul Gandhi.“Rahul Gandhi said that I believe in truth and non-violence. Does believing in truth and non-violence mean humiliating people? To give casteist abuse to the country? If Rahul Gandhi has the right to insult and abuse people with his stubbornness, then the people suffering from his abuse have the right to file a defamation case. Mr Kharge said today that the decision of the court has been changed many times. The Congress party does not believe in the court. Does it want to keep the judiciary in its pocket as well?” said Ravi Shankar Prasad. #RahulGandhi #DefamationCase #BJP
