Harleen, who was a student at NM College, recalled enjoying a hearty plate of Idli and Sambar in the canteen as the city drowned, and wading through waist-deep water due to no transportation. The incessant rains caused severe waterlogging across several areas in the city post Mumbai Rains. Massive waterlogging was witnessed at King’s Circle in Mumbai. Visuals of the waterlogged roads from the King's Circle area surfaced online wherein authorities in reflective rain gear could be seen giving directions to the driver to steer him clear of a dangerous spot. Pedestrians and vehicles crossed heavily waterlogged streets at the King’s Circle. The latest forecast predicts heavy to very heavy rains over Mumbai and MMR areas likely in next 48 hours which may create waterlogging as rain will be consistently moderate to heavy for at least next 24-36 hours.

09 December,2023 06:23 PM ISTAt least nine cars were badly damaged after a huge tree in a residential building collapsed on them in Mumbai on Saturday morning. The incident happened in Mumbai's Malabar Hill area inside Geetanjali building. Besides cars, a boundary wall of the society was damaged too. Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB) rushed to the spot. Further details awaited. Meanwhile, the IMD on Saturday issued a yellow alert for Mumbai, predicting heavy rainfall in parts of Maharashtra in the next 4-5 days. As per the weather update issued by IMD at 10 am, light to moderate spells of rain are very likely to occur at Mumbai, Raigad, Thane, and Palghar during the next 3-4 hours.
