UBT leader Sanjay Raut slams Maha CM Shinde's remarks over Uddhav Thackeray

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut on Wednesday said Eknath Shinde "himself is Hamas", as he countered the Maharashtra chief minister's comment about Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena faction being capable of joining hands with "Hamas and Lashkar-e-Taiba for their own selfishness". Taking a dig at Shinde and his aide Bharatiya Janata Party, Raut said, "He (Eknath Shinde) is himself Hamas... This shows how many dirty worms the BJP has planted in your mind." CM Shinde at the Dussehra rallt in Mumbai's Azad Maidan said, "You back-stabbed Bal Thackeray by committing dishonesty with his ideological legacy. I won't be surprised if they ally with terrorist groups like Hamas and Lashkar-e-Taiba for their own selfish motives." Thackeray and Shinde, leaders of the split factions of the Shiv Sena, organized separate Dussehra rallies this year in Mumbai for the first time in the history of the party.

Dussehra 2023: Kangana Ranaut took center stage at the world-famous Lav Kush Ramleela in New Delhi, marking the occasion of Dussehra. The 50-year-old tradition, held annually at the iconic Red Fort, witnessed a remarkable shift this year, as it was helmed by the presence of a woman setting the effigy of the demon king Ravan ablaze.  The actress made history by being the first woman in 50 years to perform Raavan Dahan at Lav Kush Mela. Dussehra 2023: 171-Feet-Tall Ravana effigy to be burnt in Panchkula

Preparations are underway to burn the 171-foot tall effigy of Ravana at Shalimar ground in Haryana’s Panchkula ahead of the Dussehra celebrations on October 23. The 171-foot-tall effigy of Ravana has been built at a cost of Rs 18 lakh. It took about 3 months and around 25-30 labourers to build the effigy. Notably, Dussehra falls on October 24 this year. The festival marks the victory of good over evil.
