In a dramatic instance from the New Zealand Parliament, Hana-Rawhiti Maipi-Clarke has gone viral for her protest. Maipi-Clarke staged a haka protest to express disagreement with the Indigenous Treaty Bill in the Parliament. The protest in the form of a Haka dance was joined by her party members to disrupt the vote on the contentious bill. The bill aimed at re-interpreting an 184-year-old treaty between the British and Indigenous Maori. This is not the first time Hana made herself noticed by the world with a traditional Maori act in Parliament.
