The examination has been rescheduled due to reported theft of the confidential packets on November 20 after being collected from the Board¿s Office by Mount Hermon School, Purana Bazar in Dimapur district, a notification issued by NBSE Chairman, Asano Sekhose said here today.
The NBSE has postponed and rescheduled the Class-IX final examination to commence from November 28 till December 14. It was earlier scheduled for November 24.
The Board has also cancelled the examination centre for Mount Hermon School, Purana Bazar, Dimapur as an immediate penal action, Sekhose said adding that the new centre of Class IX Final Examination for this school would be Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
She said that the Examination of other classes should not be affected by this change of schedule while the new routine shall not be altered in the event of any unexpected holiday.
She also informed that the Board would issue new question papers for the subjects ¿- English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science, Environmental Education and Alternative English -- scheduled from December 8.
The schools have been asked to use the question papers already issued for the remaining subjects.
The new question papers would be delivered in the district headquarters on December 3 and 4 by the Board Officials and schools under Kohima district can collect it from the Board¿s office, she said.
The Heads of Institution have been asked to collect the confidential packets on the specified dates from the respective district designated schools.
