West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee slammed BJP for lacking direction, neglecting people`s needs, and making empty promises during elections, especially towards Darjeeling and Kalimpong. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge described it as disappointing, suggesting it primarily serves to bolster the government`s position rather than address pressing issues. He lamented the perceived neglect of promises made versus outcomes achieved. Samajwadi Party`s Dimple Yadav echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing unfulfilled promises and concerns over women`s safety and rural purchasing power. Akhilesh Yadav highlighted unresolved farmer issues and youth employment as critical unaddressed areas. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor called the budget underwhelming, citing inadequate focus on issues like MNREGA and common man`s income improvement.
