In a 1 hour and 25-minute budget speech, Finance Minister Nirmala Sithraman highlighted 9 priority areas namely - Agriculture, Employment, Inclusive Development, Manufacturing and Services, Urban Development, Energy, Infrastructure, Innovation and R&D, and Next Generation Reforms. The Union Budget saw some major tax reforms, especially for the investors and in personal taxes for the new regime taxpayers. When it comes to Education and Employment, several employment-linked incentive schemes for employees and employers have been announced.
