It will be a family contest on the Baramati seat in Maharashtra as the suspense ended on Saturday when Ajit Pawar-led Nationalist Congress Party announced Sunetra Pawar, Ajit Pawar`s wife, from the seat against Sharad Pawar-led Supriya Sule. With this the final showdown begins for the Pawar Vs Pawar battle in one of the Maharastra`s most high profile seats Baramati. Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) leader Sunetra Pawar’s candidature as Baramati candidate was announced on 30th March. Supriya Sule is the sitting MP from the seat since 2009. Her name was officially announced. On her candidature from Baramati, NCP candidate Sunetra Pawar said, “Today is a huge day for me. I want to thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union HM Amit Shah, Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar for showing faith one me.”
