Speaking about a viral video showing a group of Sadhus being purportedly thrashed by a mob in the Purulia district in West Bengal, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on January 13 criticised the West Bengal government against appeasement politics and Law and Order issue in the state.
While talking to the media, Union Minister Anurag Thakur said, "Appeasement politics has created such an environment. Law and order have collapsed in West Bengal...the question is why is there such anti-Hindu thinking?"
