Professional teacher and Petitioner Nitin Vijay (NC Sir) on June 14 raised concerns over the developments in the examination process. He said, “We have two main concerns - paper leak and grace marks. Now that NTA has accepted that grace marks were awarded to some students, then why is the chance of re-test given only to those students who filed writ petition in High court not to those who filed complaints only with local authorities? How can an aspirant from a village file a petition in court? NTA should open a window to invite complaints, verify them and then conduct Re-NEET. Ranks have inflated due to cheating and paper leak. The future of 24 lakh students is at stake. Shouldn`t every aspirant get a fair chance?” The Supreme Court has issued notice to the National Testing Agency (NTA) and Centre on a batch of petitions raising concerns about paper leaks and seeking a CBI investigation into the alleged instances of paper leaks in the conduct of the NEET-UG 2024 exam on May 5 this year.
