The tragedy occurred around 9:45 pm in the Kurla (West) area, near the bustling Kurla market. The electric bus, on route number 332, was traveling from Kurla Railway Station (West) towards Sakinaka. The tragic incident was caught on camera. The video shows the electric bus speeding uncontrollably through the streets. The bus brushed past parked vehicles, sparking chaos on the roads. Ramming into over two dozen vehicles—including auto-rickshaws, two-wheelers, and even a police jeep, the bus left a trail of destruction. The bus then crashed into the gates of an apartment building, bringing the madness to a halt. Emergency teams rushed to the scene, but tragically, six lives were lost, and dozens more were injured. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has announced ₹ 5 lakh financial assistance for the families of each victim of the Mumbai bus accident.
