A tragic accident occurred in Maharashtra`s Mira Bhayandar (East) on Wednesday, 27th November evening when a woman in her late 60s was killed by a crane. The incident took place near Family Care Hospital in the Indralok area around 5:30 pm. The woman, whose identity was not immediately confirmed as her son was yet to arrive from Mumbai, was a retired clerk from the BMC. She lived in the same area and was out for her regular evening walk when the accident happened. The crane, which was reportedly speeding and being driven recklessly, lost control while turning and struck her. She died instantly. The incident was caught on nearby CCTV cameras. Local officials from Navghar police arrived at the spot and rushed the blood-stained body to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead before admission. The body was sent for autopsy, and the police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
