Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took cognisance of the incident and directed senior officials to the scene. A fire brigade team arrived promptly, and the firefighting operations were underway to contain the blaze.
District Magistrate Visakh G. Iyer confirmed that patients from three affected wards were rescued and shifted to other hospitals. The reasons behind the fire are still unclear, with authorities promising a thorough investigation.
Principal Secretary of Health, Partha Sarthi Sen Sharma, assured that no injuries occurred and all patients were safely relocated. Divisional Commissioner Roshan Jacob emphasised that the fire's cause is under investigation.
Police Commissioner Amarendra Singh Sengar confirmed the fire brigade's swift arrival and no reports of injury. The hospital staff acted promptly to shift around 200 patients, with serious cases referred to KGMU and Civil Hospital.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak reassured the public, stating that there was no cause for concern and the patients were safe. The SDRF team was deployed to assist in firefighting operations, and authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
