A 40-year-old man was arrested in Maharashtra's Pimpri Chinchwad for allegedly cheating several people by assuring them to solve their problems through black magic.

The accused was identified as Gautam More, a resident of Chikhali area, as per a report in India Today.

Dilip Bhosle, the police inspector of Chikhali police station, said, "Our police station staff was on night patrolling when we found a man walking suspiciously. We nabbed him and recovered one black bag from him."

"After checking the bag, we found lemons, a black cloth, a broom, bangles, a knife, a black hammer and many such things which are used for black magic,” added Bhosle.

On detailed interrogation, the accused revealed that he was going to a person's house to perform certain rituals.

Bhosle said, "He was heading to someone's house in the night to perform black magic. He earns a lot by performing black magic and people do believe him."

"We have placed Gautam More under arrest," added the police officer.
