Telangana experienced heavy rain and strong winds on Tuesday, resulting in the deaths of four individuals across different districts. In Medak district, two construction workers lost their lives in a wall collapse incident at a poultry farm near Rayulapur village in Kaudipalli mandal. The victims were identified as Subrahmanyam (45) and N. Nagu (35), reported IANS.

According to the report, another casualty occurred in Warangal district when a tree fell on an individual near Katralaya village in Wardhannapet mandal. Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, one person died of electrocution in the Bahadurpura area after coming into contact with an electric pole.

While the heavy rain gave relief from the heat, it also caused problems, such as flooded roads and fallen trees owing to strong winds. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) sent out emergency crews to clean the stagnant water and trash, the report added.

According to the report, the deluge caused traffic bottlenecks in several parts of Hyderabad and its suburbs, including the city centre, Secunderabad, and IT clusters such as Madhapur and Gachibowli. The ongoing election campaign was also hampered by inclement weather, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy's public meeting in Karimnagar was postponed due to strong winds destroying the event setup.

The Meteorological Office predicts further rain and thunderstorms in portions of the state on Wednesday, signalling continued disruption to everyday activities and potential hazards, the report added.
