A day after Bhagwant Mann swore in as the Punjab Chief Minister, Navjot Singh Sidhu said he'unfurls a new anti-Mafia era' in the state.

Navjot Singh Sidhu, who resigned as the President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee, tweeted, “The happiest man is the one from whom no one expects. Bhagwant Mann unfurls a new anti-Mafia era in Punjab with a mountain of expectations. Hope he rises to the occasion, brings back Punjab on the revival path with pro-people policies… Best always.”

Sidhu was asked to resign from his post after the recent Punjab assembly elections in which AAP won 92 seats, while the Congress bagged 18 seats.

Among its poll promises, the popular ones are Rs 1,000 to all adult women, 300 units of free electricity per month for every household.
