We are not goondas. We believe in shanti but it will be all about kranti if people don't toe our line, they say

Sri Ram Sene's strategy for Valentine's Day is "kranti" (revolt) if anyone dares to celebrate the day.

Sri Ram Sene will not flinch from using violence. "We are not goondas. We will first write to the chief minister, governor and bureaucrats asking them not to let Valentine's Day be celebrated. We will call upon the people to not celebrate the day. If you do not listen to us, what can we do? We like "shanti" but we also believe in "kranti," he said.

They have also decided on what women should wear. "We do not object to the kind of clothing women wear.

They may wear jeans. But they should not wear revealing clothes. They should adhere to the Indian culture and be clothed fully. It is not only for Valentine's Day but for all 365 days and 24 hours," he said.

Meanwhile, Bangalore police say they are fully prepared and are capable of dealing with any situation.

KRV stay outu00a0

Though Karunada Sene chief and former don Agni Sridhar has come out openly against the Ram Sene, the Karnataka Rakshana Vedike (KRV) has chosen to stay quiet.

"There is so much of globalisation happening and we think Valentine's Day is one of them. We are not against it.
We do not support Hindutva outfits like Ram Sene. The state has a BJPu00a0 government which is preparing for the Lok Sabha elections by supporting the Ram Sene. They have no communal issues now and so they are making an issue of Valentine's Day. We choose to be away from it," said T N Narayan Gowda, president, KRV.
