A 28-year-old Jasmin Sarvesh Javdekar, an MBA graduate, has lodged a case against her husband, father-in-law and brother-in-law on charges of mental harassment and withdrawing Rs 21 lakh from her account.

The case has been registered at the Kothrud police station and the suspects are yet to be arrested. Her husband Sarvesh Javdekar is a prominent builder in the city.

Police Inspector Chandrakant Ghodke from the Kothrud police station said, "Jasmin and Sarvesh got married on November 23, 2008. Jasmin said that after marriage, Sarvesh, her brother-in-law Vilas and father-in-law used to harass her mentally over trivial issues. The suspects had also withdrawn Rs 21 lakh from her account over a period of time by misleading her."

The suspects have been charged under the section 498 (Husband or relative of husband of a woman subjecting her to cruelty) and 420 (Cheating and dishonestly inducing delivery of property) of the Indian Penal Code.
