Delhi police seeks more time in sedition case against Roy, Geelani

As MiD DAY had reported, the Delhi police yesterday asked the court for more time to investigate into sedition charges against Arundhati Roy and SA Geelani.

The police filed the status report at Patiala House court. Three more cases against Roy and Geelani filed by three different lawyers that appeared in the same court were clubbed with the sedition case by the court.

"The cops are wasting time of the court as they haven't even started investigating the matter yet. The court has granted the next date of February 25 for police and incidentally the 90 days time which was granted to investigate the case will end on that day.

We will challenge them if they don't give a satisfactory status report in the court on next date," said Aditya Raj Kaul, complainant.
