MCHI's 'Budget Property 2009' turned out to be a housing bonanza for those looking for a home in the Andheri-Virar belt.

Informs Shailesh Sanghvi, director, Sanghvi Group, "We sold five flats in the exhibition and expect around 20 more deals to get sealed by this month end."
This exhibition was a platform for developers to showcase their residential properties ranging from Rs 6 lakh - 49 lakh. Explains Zubin Mehta, CEO, MCHI, "This one-of-a-kind event was aimed at buyers who are seeking properties within a specific price range. Moreover, I believe this exhibition helped positive interaction between the real estate industry and its customers in this period of economic instability."
When asked, Poonam Builders and Sanghvi Group said that they were satisfied with the customer turnout at the show. Sanghvi Group even offered buyers with a discount of Rs 5 lakh on the purchase of 1 or 2BHK flats in areas like Mira Road, Kalva, Dombivli and Wadala.
Poonam Builders too had some offers up their sleeve. "Most of the visitors turned out to be positive buyers. We offered buyers a good deal where a 2BHK flat of 790 sq ft was priced at Rs 15 lakh including maintenance, stamp duty, etc. And we got wonderful response from the visitors for our projects in Virar.
In fact, a lot of visitors went for our site visit on the first day itself. We also managed to sell a few flats in Virar within those three days of exhibition," says Ashwin Mehta, Poonam Builders.

Hot Property spoke to a few buyers and here's what they had to say about the exhibition:
I was looking forward to book a flat in either Mira Road or Borivli. In fact I'm happy with the kind of deal I've been offered from Chauhan Group for a 2BHK at Rs 17 lakh (approx) in Mira Road. I think the prices offered by the developers in the exhibition were pretty reasonable.

u00a0I checked out other projects between Kandivli and Mira Road by various developers but I ended up liking a property in Mira Road by Sanghvi Group. They were the only ones to give away a discount offer of Rs 5 lakh on a purchase of 1 and 2 BHK flats.
