New Delhi: The ruling AAP and Delhi Police Commissioner Bhim Sain Bassi today sparred over an alleged act of corruption on the part of the latter prompting the visibly furious top cop to retort saying he will take the "cheats" to the "graveyard".

AAP's Greater Kailash MLA raised the issue, pertaining to an allotment of a flat in a cooperative group housing society, in the Assembly demanding a CBI probe against Bassi.

Bhardawaj alleged that Bassi got a flat in the society by allegedly flouting rules in collusion with the officers in registrar of cooperative societies in 1979.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said he has sought details from registrar of cooperative societies. "I had called
for related files. I was told some files have gone missing," he said.

Bassi, however, asserted that the property in question is "purely legitimate and was lawfully acquired".

Bassi on Friday asserted that he is not all worried about false allegations being made by the Arvind Kejriwal-led AAP Government, and added that he will expose the latter before the people and also take adequate action against the latter for making such 'baseless' allegations against him and his force.

'I am not worried about false advertisements and allegations against me. I am not scared of any one who calls me a deceiver. In my entire life, I have followed the path of law and honesty,' a curt yet aggressive Bassi told media here.

'I am gathering further details on these allegations, and if necessary, will also take adequate action. Bhim Sen Bassi works with honesty. I will bring truth out in front of the people and expose these liars,' he added.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has complained against the Delhi Police to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), accusing it of trying to 'hound' ruling AAP MLAs by reopening old cases and creating new ones against them.

In a letter to the MHA written on November 7, Kejriwal also said that the Delhi Police was not cooperating with his government on several issues. He has mentioned 10 specific complaints against the city police.

The Delhi Police has categorically rejected the charge and issued a point-by-point rebuttal in response to Kejriwal's letter to the Union home ministry.
