Ajit Pawar received 1,81,132 votes, while his nearest rival, Yugendra Pawar from the NCP-SP alliance, got 80,233 votes, making the victory margin 1,00,899 votes. In Mumbai, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray won from the Worli constituency, defeating Shinde Sena`s Milind Deora by more than 8,000 votes.
