The pandemic has taught the public transport sector a lesson like nothing else could, with all of them renewing their focus on the cleaning, sanitisation and hygiene of their vehicles. The Maharashtra State Transport Corporation has taken up the task of deep-cleaning its buses and getting basic repairs done. For the benefit of rail users, a similar cleanliness initiative has also been launched by the Western Railway. Last week an automatic coach washing plant was commissioned at Mumbai Central to save time, water and manpower. Watch this video for more details.
