The funeral procession of Manohar Joshi started from his residence near Ruparel College in Matunga, Mumbai till Dadar's Shivaji Park
Manohar Joshi was given Guard of Honour by Maharashtra government respecting his contribution for state's development as the chief minister and to the country as the union minister
Prior to the his funeral, Manohar Joshi was brought to his residence on Friday afternoon at Matunga in Mumbai for last respects
Shiv Sena workers and several followers gathered near Joshi's residence to pay their last respect to the veteran leader and participated in his funeral procession
Manohar Joshi was the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999 and Speaker of the Lok Sabha from 2002 to 2004. He was also a Member of Rajya Sabha from 2006 to 2012, and Minister of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises from 1999 to 2002
The former Maharashtra CM, Joshi passed away on Friday wee hours, at the age of 86. He was admitted in Hinduja Hospital after a cardiac arrest on February 21
Maharashtra leaders, including Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, MP Sanjay Raut, Congress leader and former CM, Sushil Kumar Shinde, Sharad Pawar among others were present for Joshi's last rites
Earlier on Friday, Maharashtra leaders, including CM Eknath Shinde, Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis, MNS chief Raj Thackeray among others paid their last respects to Manohar Joshi
