Thane reports 37 covid-19 cases

With the addition of the latest cases, Thane currently has 363 active Covid-19 cases. No infection related death was reported in the district, the death toll in Thane remained unchanged at 2,158.

Thane district reported 37 Covid-19 cases on Wednesday. The fresh cases took infection count in Thane to 1,96,393, as per data received by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).


With the addition of the latest cases, Thane currently has 363 active Covid-19 cases. No infection related death was reported in the district, the death toll in Thane remained unchanged at 2,158.


As per the bulletin, Thane now has a recovery rate of 98.72 per cent. 28 Covid patients recovered, taking the total number of recoveries since the beginning in the city to 1,93,872.

Meanwhile, Maharashtra reported 881 coronavirus cases and five deaths on Wednesday, the health department said in a bulletin. 

With the fresh Covid-19 cases, the state's coronavirus tally rose to 81,12,857 and the death toll to 1,48,298.

A day earlier, the state recorded 730 infections and four fatalities.
