The deceased have been identified as Salim Shaikh and Aamir Shaikh

Two youths from Malvani were killed in an accident late at night near the Sony TV's office in Malad West.


The accident took place around 2:30 am on Saturday near the Sony TV office located behind Infinity Mall in Malad West.


The deceased have been identified as Salim Shaikh and Aamir Shaikh alias Imma, both residents of Malvani.


According to the police, the duo was riding a Bajaj Pulsar motorcycle (MH-02-FK-5586). The speed of the bike was so much high that while taking a turn on the road, the rider (Salim Shaikh) lost control and the bike hit a divider and later a coconut tree on the footpath.

The impact of the collision after hitting the divider was so higher that they were tossed into the air and later hit a coconut tree, due to which the duo sustained serious injuries.

The Bangur Nagar Link road police reached the spot and rushed the duo to the hospital, where the doctors declared them dead, said an officer.

On the complaint of Hussain Kasam Shaikh, we have registered the case against deceased Salim Shafi Ahmed Shaikh under sections 279 304 (A) 338, 427 of IPC and section 184 of Motor vehicle acts, said senior inspector Pramod Tavde.

The bodies have been sent for autopsy, he added.
