The Ghatkopar police have registered an FIR against three hawkers for allegedly threatening a hotelier, after he reported them to the civic corporation. The complainant, Bipin Gupta, runs a juice and bhelpuri center and approached the police on February 15.

“The hawkers had created a lot of nuisance and hence, I complained to the BMC. Subsequently, they barged into my eatery, argued with me, and threw bottles of packaged water and food packets on the road before leaving,” said Gupta.

Senior Police Inspector Balvant Deshmukh, Ghatkopar police station said, “We have issued a notice to the three accused, seeking their compliance in the probe, and are investigating the matter further. Appropriate action will be taken soon.”
