Mumbai Police on Friday issued traffic restrictions in some parts of the city's ahead of the Mumbai Sanskriti Festival 2024, an Indian musical event organised by Indian Heritage Society.

In a traffic notification, Mumbai Police said, in order to prevent obstruction, inconvenience to the public, to maintain smooth vehicular traffic movements and to avoid inconvenience to the public, a traffic restrictions were being issued in some parts of south Mumbai.
The traffic notification was issued by Pradnya Jedge, DCP (South), Traffic Police, Mumbai.
It said that Mumbai Sanskruti Festival 2024, an Indian Musical event has been organised by Indian Heritage Society in Mumbai on January 13 and 14 from 19:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs at Asiatic Library outside Hornimal Circle.
It further said, in order to maintain smooth vehicular traffic movements following changes shall be implemented.
Road Closed
Shahid Bhagat Singh Road: The stretch of North Bound of Shahid Bhagat Singh Road From Hornimal Circle Signal to Asiatic Library Signal and South Bound Ballard Pier Junction to Horniman Signal shall be closed for all types of vehicular movements.
Alternate Route
Shahid Bhagat Singh Road (North Bound): Vehicles moving towards CSMT and Eastern Free Way via Shahid Bhagat Singh Road North Bound shall take left turn from Hornimal Circle signal - via Horniman Circle comes on Shahid Bhagat Singh Road and move towards their destination.
Shahid Bhagat Singh Road: Vehicles coming from P.D'Mello Road and moving towards Regal via Shahid Bhagat Singh Road South Bound shall take right turn from
Avtarsingh Bedi Chowk-G.P.O. - Bhatia Baug - Left Turn-D.N. Road and move towards their destination.
The 32nd edition of the Mumbai Sanskriti Festival is set to captivate audiences with the harmonious melodies of renowned Indian classical musicians, including flautist Rakesh Chaurasia, vocalists Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, and Sanjeev Abhyankar.
