On Thursday, the social media pages of Mumbai Police called out regressive Bollywood movie dialogues and denounced misogyny at the same time with a witty post.

Shared along with #LetsNotNormaliseMisogyny, #MindYourLanguage, #WomenSafety, the post features dialogues from Salman Khan’s film Dabangg, Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani’s Kabir Singh, Priyanka Chopra and Ranveer Singh’s Dil Dhadakne Do among others. Each of these dialogues show misogyny in different forms.

The caption of the post read, “Cinema is a reflection of our society -Here are (just) a few (of many) dialogues both our society and cinema need to reflect upon. Choose your words and actions with care – unless you want the law to intervene!”

In just three hours the post has garnered over 63,000 likes on Instagram. Also, netizens have heaped praised on the social media team of the city police.
