A fire was reported in a multi-storey building in Mumbai's Kanjurmarg area on Monday. It was reportedly caused due to a short circuit and was extinguished later. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.


The fire occurred on the 9th and 10th floor of NG Royal Park building in Kanjurmarg around 1.17 pm on Monday. According to officials, the preliminary report states that it was caused due to short-circuit.


The fire brigade officers rushed to the spot in Kanjurmarg around 1.32 pm and put out the blaze.
 
According to the fire brigade officials, the fire was a Level 2. "Fire was confined to 9th and 10th floor of Ground plus upper ten-floor building. It is a major fire incident caused due to short-circuit. Eight fire engines were rushed to the spot. No injury has been reported in the incident," said a BMC official.
