The Shivaji Nagar police has arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly kidnapping a minor girl and later marrying her. According to the police, the girl’s mother approached the police soon after her daughter suddenly went missing on August 25. However, at that time, the family members produced her Aadhar Card, which suggest her age to be 18 years. The police then registered an adult missing persons case and began their investigation.  Both the accused and victim are residents of the same area and knew each other, said the police.
