Remains of Metro construction work littered the road besides the median, below the Metro-2A, between Pahadi Eksar and Dahanukar Wadi when this paper published the report on April 15. mid-day visited the site again on Tuesday and found the stretch clear of debris, barring a small portion.
The debris, along with the ongoing road stripes work by the BMC, was causing traffic jams and pollution because of the dust. Commuters complained that they were inconvenienced, especially during the peak hours.
Sources from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority said that following mid-day’s report, the metropolitan commissioner instructed the authorities concerned to make sure the debris was cleared at the earliest.
