A day after legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar's demise, Maharashtra BJP MLA Ram Kadam has written to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, requesting a memorial of the veteran singer at Shivaji Park in Mumbai.





“On behalf of millions of fans and music lovers, I urge that a memorial of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar ji be constructed on the same spot where she was cremated at Shivaji Park,” Kadam wrote in a letter to the Chief Minister.

Lata Mangeshkar (92) who enthralled millions with her divine voice for almost eight decades was cremated with full state honours at Shivaji Park on Sunday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among those who paid their last respects to the music icon at Shivaji Park Sunday evening.
