15 per cent water cut across Mumbai on Tuesday

Then BMC is going to undertake technical work in three reservoirs in the Veravali area on Tuesday because of which, water supply in some areas of Kurla-Ghatkopar, Andheri (East and West), Ram Mandir and Goregaon (West) will be disrupted from 8.30 am to 10.30 pm. There will be a 15 per cent cut in water supply for south Mumbai, except for F North and F South wards, and in all western suburbs. The water supply in some areas will be at low pressure. 


BMC has three water reservoirs in Veravali area in the K East ward. These reservoirs supply water to the western suburbs and to the southern part of the city. The technical work is expected to improve the system. The work of connecting underground lines, installing valves and flow meters will be undertaken on Tuesday.  The work of replacing the valves in Bhandup complex also will be undertaken.
