Trio arrested of being involved in a murder

The Vasai Virar Mira Bhayander Crime Branch unit 1 and Kashimira police station have arrested trio for being involved in a murder.


The incident took place in Uttar Pradesh and the Special Task Force (STF) had been on the look out for the alleged acused.


According to the police, In 2001, Martanda Yadav (one of the alleged accused Ramvilas Yadav's brother) was murdered by Avdesh Yadav and his associates. The court had acquitted Avdesh due to lack of evidences.


Later, In 2009, Martanda Yadav's son murdered Avdesh Yadav in fit of rage. In February this year, the trio allegedly murdered Dulare Yadav, sole witness in Avdesh Yadav's murder case.

The alleged accused were identified as Ramvilas Yadav (55), Anil Yadav (20) and Dinesh Yadav (18). The Police had announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 on the trio.

According to the police, the trio had fled from Uttar Pradesh, the Mehernagar police (UP) had raised a man hunt to find the whereabouts of trio.

API Aviraj Kurade, Crime Branch unit 1, had sucessfully traced Anil Yadav's phone in Mira Road.  The police apprehended the trio from Mira Road and later handed over the accused to Uttar Pradesh police for further investigation. 

"After tracking the phone location , we apprehended Anil and then based on his confession we apprehended the other two. They have been handed over to UP police for further investigation," said API Anil Kurade.

The trio had been booked under section 302 ( Punishment for Murder) , 364 ( Kidnapping or abducting) and 201 ( Disparance of evidences) of the Indian Penal Code by the Uttar Pradesh's Mehernagar police station.
