Mumbai crime: Three held in Antop Hill with drugs worth Rs 16 crore

Three people were arrested from Antop Hill by the Mumbai Crime Branch on Wednesday night with drugs worth Rs 16 crore.


According to crime branch, based on specific information, three people were detained from Antop Hill area and later taken into custody as they were found in a possession of 16.100 kg of synthetic drug Methaqualone worth Rs 16 crore.


 “The accused have been nabbed and further investigation is being conducted to ascertain the source and beneficiaries of the drug,” said Neelotpal, DCP detection of Mumbai Crime Branch.


An FIR has been registered against the trio under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
