In a disturbing incident on Friday, a 27-year-old youth fell victim to a kidnapping and fatal stabbing in Nalasopara, reportedly stemming from prior enmity. The Pelhar police station has registered a case involving illegal assembly, abduction, and brutal murder, as a group of 9 to 10 individuals orchestrated the crime (stabbing in Nalasopara) and fled the scene after abandoning the lifeless body of the victim.

The victim, identified as Sudhir Singh (27), a resident of Kandivali and nephew of the deceased, had visited Nalasopara East Valaipada Upadhyay Nagar to inspect a room with his friend Vaibhav Mishra. At around 10:30 PM on Thursday night, the assailants, traveling in two rickshaws, attacked Sudhir Singh with wooden sticks and sharp weapons in the Gauraipada parking lot. Subsequently, they placed him in a rickshaw, injured, and transported him to Gavraipada bridge, where they abandoned him. The accused swiftly fled the scene after committing the stabbing in Nalasopara.

Upon receiving information from the deceased's friend, the Pelhar police, led by Senior Police Inspector Vasant Labde, deployed a crime detection team, discovering the victim's bloody body in Nalasopara East Village Raipada.

The incident has caused fear in the localities of Nalasopara East, including Santoshbhuvan, Bilalpad, Sriram Nagar, Gavraipada, Dhaniv Bagh, and Navjeevan.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the accused had pre-existing enmity with the victim, leading to the kidnapping and murder. Seven teams from the Crime Branch, three from the Central Crime Branch, and three from Pelhar Police Station are actively searching for the identified accused.

Senior Police Inspector Vasant Labde expressed confidence in the swift apprehension of the suspects.
