A 39-year-old man identified as Ashok Manik Maitre was arrested.

Drugs seized after raids.

The Mumbai Police on Thursday conducted a raid in Chandivali Sangharsh Nagar area and recovered 345-kg cannabis worth Rs 51,82,874.


The Sakinaka police officer received information, following which the raids were conducted. A 39-year-old man identified as Ashok Manik Maitre was arrested.


The police registered a case under the NDPS Act and further investigation is underway to find out where the cannabis was bought from and who was going to supply it.


Confirming the development, DCP Maheshwar Reddy said, “Cannabis worth Rs 51 lakh has been recovered and one accused have been arrested. Further investigation is going on.”
