Sources said, the cop, identified as Indrajit Salunkhe, was attached to the Local Arms division at Bhoiwada and was living in the Worli police camp. He had joined the force two years ago. Salunkhe was reportedly in a relationship with a woman, and they had a fight after she found that he was chatting with another girl via social media.

According to an official from the Worli police station, "On Sunday, both met and reportedly had a fight. After she left for her home in Goregaon, she allegedly blocked his number.
