At a masterclass for women, art expert Brinda Miller will teach techniques to make artwork out of paper

The invention of paper dates back to over 2,000 years ago, yet its utility continues to increase by the day. In art, for instance, the use of paper has evolved from being a medium to draw and paint on to a material that can be creatively manipulated for collages and installations. This week, noted artist Brinda Miller (in pic) will teach participants to achieve that. The session is open only for women in light of March being marked as Women’s History Month.

Miller will teach attendees to create works from recycled paper and make a 3D paper collage, among other things. “I will guide participants to cut paper in certain ways. There will also be some cutting, sticking and painting involved. Each participant will create an artwork that can be framed. It’s suitable for beginners and the idea is to have fun,” she says. All materials will be provided.
