A Pune-based band brings its indie pop sound to Navi Mumbai this week
Fiddlecraft in performance
The wooded neighbourhood of Seawoods might be the perfect place if you are looking for an escape from the hubbub of Lollapalooza next week. For the lovers of rooted indie music, the vibes of Fiddlecraft will offer a respite. The Pune-based band will be on a short trip to the city with a one-day gig to the satellite suburb in Navi Mumbai. Gaurav Kadu, the songwriter, tells us, “We are known for the energy we bring to the stage, and have some great memories of the place.”

Since their first album, Hawaizaada in 2018, the band has been across the world and also ventured into compositions, earning even a Filmfare Award nomination for Best Original Soundtrack for a Series for their work in The Family Man (2021). Kadu reveals that the concert will be a mix of new and old hits including the popular Kyu jana hai, Rastey and Disneyland. Of course, their arrival also coincides with the biggest music festival in Asia visiting Mumbai’s shores. But Kadu expects that it will only bring in more music lovers to the neighbourhood.
