Learn more about the different characters in the Ramayana at this storytelling session

The Ramayana is peopled with many fantastical characters outside of the main protagonists. There is, for instance, the deer that captured Sita’s attention. Then there’s Jatayu, the vulture-like bird whose wings were clipped by Ravana. There are also peripheral human characters such as Kaikeyi, Bharat’s mother, who wanted the best for her son. Learn more about these lesser-highlighted aspects of the epic at a session that storyteller Lavanya Prasad will conduct over Zoom. She will shed light on them across three different episodes, focusing on animals, birds, and human characters outside of Rama, Laxman and Sita. Tune in to gain a better understanding about a tale that is one of the foundations of Indian mythology.
