Create fun stories together
6 PM: Join writer Anand Sivakumaran for an entertaining evening, where he will lead you into the world of storytelling with tales created on the spot, on the basis of words, cues or sentences given by the audience. The trigger words suggested by the audience could be anything from blue mangoes, a Zeppelin, a torn umbrella. What it will do is take the story in unexpected directions.

Make, break and create

This four-day woodwork workshop is taught and curated by Viren Vaz and you get to take home whatever you build. Vaz has been immersed in woodworks and quit a career of 15 years to pursue it to his heart's content. From a tiny shoe rack to a king-size bed, he has built it all and is especially interested in creating furniture pieces that do not need metal fasteners.

Relish a unique range of dim sums
Dim sum master chef Chee Soon Hoong and duck chef Sylvester Lepcha are curating a pop-up of Chennai restaurant China XO, that will feature a range of dim sums, signature set menus and Peking duck. The dimsum variety will include lobster truffle, seafood tobiko, lamb and lemongrass, baked chicken puff among many others. Vegetarians can choose from asparagus and black pepper, water chestnut, pumpkin and pine nut and vegetable and lotus roll. The piece de resistance of the menu is the Peking duck, that is cooked in a wood-fired oven for 45 minutes, and later served with steamed pancakes.

Story Party is a live storytelling show about something most people struggle with — dating. The platform features professional story tellers sharing true dating stories about the time they got played or just tangled up in what we call love. Go for an art show by three women
Art Musings is presenting Confluence - Monsoon Show, a group exhibition featuring acclaimed artists Anjolie Ela Menon, Jayasri Burman and Maya Burman. All three artists draw from a mythology and culture, but each one has a distinct style of rendering. Menon's works are from her ongoing Divine Mother series, that captures the nuances of motherhood. Jayasri Burman's work is inspired by Indian folk, mythology and the Bengali culture while Maya Burman's works have a signature fairyland feel to them, with an exquisite amount of detailing, reminiscent of the French art nouveau tradition.

Know how to handle trauma
