After being part of Woodside Inn’s beer and burger festival last year and on the menu at Lower Parel’s Please Don’t Tell, the Ramen Burger now makes it to the Guppy Pop-Up at Olive Mahalaxmi. Substituting buns with Ramen noodles, the burger, created by Japanese chef Keizo Shimamoto, became a global sensation in 2013 and even made it to the list of the most influential burgers of all time, curated by a popular magazine.

The pop-up will serve the burger every Monday to Wednesday for lunch and dinner. Vikram Khatri, Executive Chef at Guppy, says, “After the Ramen Burger’s launch at Guppy Delhi last year, we thought the time was right to introduce this Western and Japanese craze to our Mumbai patrons.”
The different varieties of this burger include Chicken Tsukune Ramen Burger (Rs 700, all prices exclusive of taxes), Tenderloin Ramen Burger (Rs 700), BBLT (belly, bacon, lettuce and tomato) Ramen Burger (Rs 700), and Five Mushroom (shitake, shimeji, button, milky and enoki) Ramen Burger (Rs 650) for the vegetarians.
“The blanched Ramen noodles are grilled till golden brown, and then a choice of filling is sandwiched in the centre. It brings both comfort food and haute cuisine to the same plate, which will appeal to city foodies,” believes Khatri.
