Kyani & Co's famous bun maska lends itself to most food crawls organised in SoBo. But did you know that behind the iconic Irani cafe is Edward Dosa Stall that whips up a mean Paneer Chilli Dosa? This weekend, dig into this dosa and a host of other eats (until you burst at the seams) at a 12-hour long food crawlathon covering 24 spots in South Mumbai. It has been organised by 36-year-old Vishall Bansal, a construction equipment executive, who hosts food tours under his social media handle, Raaste Ka Bhukkad.

"The crawl covers Fort, Colaba, Kala Ghoda, Grant Road and CP Tank. The idea is to stick to the best dishes of a street stall or restaurant, for instance, Cafe Excelsior's Mutton Cutlet and Gravy. The guests will enjoy chaat, kebabs, pizza, pasta and Indian fare," shares Bansal, who hosted the first edition two years back.
The crawl begins sharp at 10 am. After 12 joints, the tour will halt at 145 in Kala Ghoda for a cool-down session. Bansal has also listed a few tips — follow the two-bite rule and stay hydrated. "In the first bite, you know whether you like the dish. The second bite helps you pay attention to the nuances," he adds. You can also take breaks and go sightseeing in the neighbourhoods. The next edition will be held post monsoon.
