Remeber how Harry Potter helps a boa constrictor escape when the Dursleys take him to a zoo in the second chapter of Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone? While you may have just brushed past the chapter, Casper ter Kuile and Vanessa Zoltan study the text as if it were the Bible. They pick a theme and discuss it in a 25-minute episode of Harry Potter And The Sacred Text, a weekly podcast reading of the popular character. Zoltan shares, "The snake is a sort of mirror character for Harry..." and goes on to draw similarities between their circumstances, highlighting the theme of loneliness.

The duo began with a community reading of Potter in Massachusetts in 2015 before expanding it to a podcast. To date, they have released three seasons, based on the first three books from JK Rowling's bestseller series.

Each episode, which begins with a quick narration of a chapter, revolves around a theme - from commitment and friendship to betrayal, heartbreak and fear. What we love is how the duo not only use references from the text but also share how it resonated with them. If you're a Potterhead, pull out the dog-eared editions from your book shelf, and indulge in a magical, nostalgia trip.
