UPSC NDA (II) Exam 2021

The NDA (II) exam was conducted by UPSC on November 14, 2021. This year NDA (II) exam was moderate in difficulty level for both the shifts. The GAT (General Ability Test) section was easier than Mathematics. As per students' feedback and experts' analysis, the Mathematics section was difficult and calculative, while the questions from trigonometry were tricky and tough.


In the Mathematics section, the questions were majorly asked from Trigonometry, Probability, Algebra, Arithmetic Progression, Sequence and Series, Calculus, Statistics, and so on. In the GAT section, some questions were asked from Current Affairs but overall this section is considered moderate to easy by candidates and experts also.

The NDA (II) exam 2021 was conducted in two shifts. The first shift was conducted between 10:00 am and 12:30 pm and the second shift was conducted between 02:00 pm and 04:30 pm in offline mode. The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) is expected to release the final result along with cutoff marks in December.

However, we can predict the expected NDA (II) cutoff based on the students’ reactions and experts' opinions and by analyzing some other parameters involved in this exam. The candidates need to score a minimum of 25% marks in each section to qualify for the Interview round.

There is no separate cutoff released for UR, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS categories. There is only one cutoff released for all categories, the candidates are selected on the single cutoff. After the written test, the candidates are called for the SSB Interview round. After the final selection, a training of 03 years is provided to the candidates in the prestigious defence academies of the country.

As the overall exam was moderate this year and the cutoff will be slightly high than the previous year's cutoff marks. More than 5 lakh candidates registered for the exam this year. The candidates having good knowledge of current events would have done well in the exam.
