When it comes to breaking fast, people often get overwhelmed and tend to feast on a variety of foods leading to overeating.
This sudden feasting after 12+ hours of fasting can lead to multiple complications like bloating, indigestion, fatigue, nausea, heartburn and acidity.
Always start with hydration (drinking water or other liquids). Then, make sure you eat in small portion size. This can help avoid overeating and ensure to have balanced meals.
Your meal should include plenty of vegetables, especially leafy vegetables and paneer-based dishes. These leafy vegetables are a rich source of essential nutrients which can be beneficial after longer hours of fasting.
Avoid eating foods that are oily, spicy and processed like pakoda, noodles, chips, fries, samosa, cutlet, chat, kachori, bhel puri and pav bhaji.
Go for light food options like khichdi, soup, fruits, fruit juice, salads, sprouts, porridge and raita.
