This time, Studio Mora (Ministry of Rural Development) has spoilt this breed with an exhibition of Madhubani-inspired fabric and paper collection titled Vriksha.

National Award-winning artisan Chandra Bhushan Kumar artfully explores the umbilical-cord-like relationship shared between humans and trees. Kumar's stunning artistry is displayed on this appliqu ufffd-work tradition, typical to the Madhubani region of Bihar. Here, chain and stitched embroidery is used as a linear element.

Choose from hand-woven cotton and silk sarees etched with motifs done in this style of Indian painting. There's good news for the eco-friendly shopper as wellu00a0-- the entire collection has been created using organic, natural and hand-woven fabrics.
