Kids do not know the medium through which films are made, the finer elements, cinematic language or the story. hildren are a lot into television today, this course will help them break the mode and understand cinematography better."
Pathrabe feels that though such a course may got give kids an in-depth understanding of films, it will help those who would like to get into film-making at a later stage in life. "It will also keep them occupied during the summer vacations," he adds.
The curriculum of the course includes basics of theoretical and practical study of the history and the development of cinema as a medium of art and communication. Film classics (Indian and international) will be used for critical analysis and study.
